Rachel (Simancek) Everett

Rachel is the oldest child of Jay and Marianne Simancek. Rachel’s involvement in Scouting started as a child with the Girl Scouts of America. In her words, “The word 'scouting' brings to mind a level of honor and respect that I have for any scout I meet.” Rachel plays multiple roles in the scouting organizations, both Girls Scouts and Cub Scouts. She supports her daughter, Samantha, by volunteering in with her Girl Scout Troop and helps her son Michael with his pack where she can.

Forming leaders and strong adults is importing to Rachel as a leader in the scouting organizations. The sharing of activities and skills that will help both boys and girls to build confidence, become more self-sufficient and teach strong values is an important theme that scouting holds.
