Dimitrios is the son of Jeff and Clysta Simancek. Between Jeff and Clysta's involvement in scouting and with the added pressure from Papa, he was destined to be involved in scouting. Dimitrios joined Cub Scout Pack 3224, Eagle Spirit District, Gerald R. Ford Council in September 2007. Here he earned his Bobcat and Tiger Ranks. He loved being involved with the Pack, especially the Pinewood Derby. He placed third with his den for this race, but did not place overall with the Pack. He also loved the Winter Festival where he played Flag Football in the Snow and learned about winter survival and helped build an igloo.
When the family moved to California he joined Pack 645, Rancho Del Mar District, Orange County Council. As a Wolf Scout he enjoyed his first Rain Gutter Regatta and camped in the mountains. He received his Wolf Rank and is currently working on his Bear badge.
