Marianne Simancek

Mary Hope Milidonis (1923 - 1999), was the first child of Michael Joseph Anuta. She married Michael M. Milidonis on April 6, 1944. They had five children; Michael James, Marianne, Madeline, David Jeffrey and Mark Alan. Of these children, Marianne and Madeline had extensive involvement in the Boy Scouts of America. We will explore their backgrounds in later blogs. Michael M. was involved in Boy Scouts as a boy reaching the rank of first class.

Marianne Milidonis was the second child of Mary Hope and Michael (Mitch) Milidonis

. She married a former Scout, Jay Simancek on August 2, 1969. Marianne’s involvement in Scouting started with their children Rachel and Jeff.

Marianne became a Den Leader Coach helping with Clinton Valley Council, Ottawa District, Pack 240. She continued her involvement in Troop 54, Ottawa District, Clinton Valley Council, where she served as a Troop Committee Member. For Ottawa District, she was Popcorn Kernel, and as a Committee Chairperson and Member at Large.

Marianne was in the Bear Patrol during her 21^st Century Woodbadge Training, has earned the District Award of Merit and has received the Silver Beaver Award.
